Designed for Ages 3 to 4 and Their Parents

Whether your child is naturally confident or a little shy, high energy or more reserved, the Tiny Dragons program meets them where they are. Classes are designed to support early learning, confidence and school readiness in a calm and welcoming environment.

Parents and carers are warmly welcomed into the class as a familiar and reassuring presence. Your role is simply to support your child with encouragement, smiles and connection.

Parents are not expected to actively participate or perform activities themselves. Many families tell us they love this relaxed involvement and enjoy sharing a special connection time with their child while watching them grow in confidence.

If you are looking for a positive activity you can enjoy together that builds skills for life, Tiny Dragons is a wonderful place to start.

What Parents Are Saying

  • "Lil and tiny dragons is a wonderful program. The team at BBMA Hornsby provide a supportive environment for teaching respect, discipline, and self-reliance in a fun and interactive way. It also provides an awareness of important issues such as stranger danger and bullying and develops physical function and balance with lots of obstacle course activities. Highly recommended!!"

    — Nathan D.

  • "My children love the program and have developed so much confidence! My youngest has also developed self-control as a result of the program which has made his transition to "big school" so much easier. I highly recommend this school!"

    — Claire F.

  • "Highly recommend BBMA Hornsby! My 4 yo son joined two terms ago on the recommendation of one of his daycare friends. We have been astounded by the individual attention the kids get and how the teachers get to know your family, always providing valuable and insightful feedback after each class. I wanted my son to work on his listening skills and focus in preparation to start school next year and his progress has been fantastic as the teachers gently guide him. BBMA also encourages kids to listen to their parents and try new things through the red stripe program."

    — Sam H.

Practical Details

  • The Tiny Dragons program is designed specifically for children aged 3 to 4 years old. Children can transition to our Lil Dragons program when they turn 5.

  • Yes! Parents are on the mat with their child for the entire class.

Don’t worry - you won’t have to do any Karate (unless you want to!). Your role is to be present, sometimes hold hands (and equipment) - smiling, laughing, and gently encouraging your child - ensuring they feel safe and connected.

This is what makes our program unique. Parents tell us they absolutely LOVE the program :)

  • No experience is required for either parent or child. Our program is designed for complete beginners and we meet every child where they are.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. Or call us on mob: 0494 643 050. We aim to respond quickly - usually within one business day.

  • For your first class, comfortable clothing for both of you - anything that allows for movement and play is perfect, think tracksuit pants, leggings or shorts and a t-shirt. Once enrolled, your child will receive a uniform (karategi) to wear.

  • Simply book a free trial class here. You'll attend a regular session to see if the program is the right fit for your family, no commitment required.

  • Parents and carers are invited to be present as a supportive and reassuring influence. This may involve holding your child’s hand during balance activities or offering encouragement. Parents are not expected to actively participate and many enjoy simply watching and supporting their child as they build confidence
